These are the tools that solve a 30-second problem you have 5 times a week. None of them is exciting enough to deserve its own launch post, but together they cover a real chunk of the friction of being someone-who-posts-online. All four are free, no signup, no upload, run entirely in your browser.
Here they are.
1. Twitter Emoji & Symbol Picker
A searchable, click-to-copy grid of every emoji and useful Unicode symbol that renders cleanly on X. Type "fire" and the flame emoji appears. Type "arrow" and you get every arrow direction. Click to copy, paste into your draft, done.
Why does this exist when your phone has an emoji keyboard? Three reasons:
- Desktop users don't have one. Mac's Control+Cmd+Space picker is slow and weirdly scoped. Windows's Win+. is better but still scrolls forever. A search-by-name grid is faster.
- Not every emoji renders the same. This picker only shows ones that actually look right on X across platforms — none of the new emoji that show as boxes on older devices.
- It includes useful Unicode symbols too. Bullets, arrows, mathematical operators, geometric shapes — the stuff that makes a tweet's structure scannable without using bold formatting (which X doesn't natively support).
2. Bluesky / Threads / Mastodon / X Character Counter
A character counter with a platform dropdown. Switch between Bluesky (300), Threads (500), Mastodon (500), LinkedIn (3000), and X (280) — the count updates against the right limit instantly.
The X mode applies X's actual character weighting rules: URLs count as 23, emojis count as 2, graphemes are clustered correctly. The other platforms use a raw grapheme count because that's how their limits actually work.
Use case: you write a post for X, then realize it could go on Threads too — but Threads is 500 chars, so you can expand the thought. Or the reverse: you wrote it for Threads, want to crosspost to X, and need to know how aggressively to trim.
If you only post to X, our X-specific character counter is the simpler version.
3. UTM Campaign URL Builder
Form: paste a destination URL, fill in source / medium / campaign / (optional) term / content. Get back the properly-encoded tracking URL, live-previewed as you type. One click to copy.
Three things this one quietly gets right:
- Lowercases UTM values automatically. Google Analytics treats
Xandxas different sources, which means your campaign data fragments across capitalization variants nobody notices. We just lowercase them. - Encodes properly. Spaces become
%20, ampersands in your campaign name don't break the URL. You don't have to think about it. - One-click presets for common sources (
x,twitter, linkedin, newsletter, google) and mediums (social, email, cpc, organic, referral) — so your campaign naming stays consistent across teammates.
Use case: posting a link to your blog post on X and wanting to know which posts actually drive traffic. Without UTMs, X is just "twitter.com" in your analytics. With UTMs, you can see which specific post sent the click.
4. Twitter / X Profile QR Code Generator
Type your @ handle, get a downloadable PNG QR code that links to your X profile. Or paste any URL for a QR that links there. Pick foreground/background colors, pick error-correction level, pick size, download.
Use case: speaker badges, conference business cards, "follow me" slides at the end of a presentation, the back of a flyer. The two pieces of contact info that scale online ("follow me on X" and "here's my website") are now the only two pieces of contact info that work offline as well — via QR.
The error-correction level matters more than people realize: pick H if you plan to slap a logo on top in another tool, since H-level codes can lose up to 30% of their pattern and still scan reliably.
What ties these together
Nothing, really. That's the point. Some of the most useful tools are the ones that handle a single small thing perfectly and then get out of the way. We collected the four small ones we kept wishing existed when we were building XposterAI, made them free, and put them on a public page. No signup, no SaaS, no "trial expires in 7 days."
Try them
