Why use an advanced search builder?
X's advanced search is one of its most powerful and least discoverable features. The native form on
x.com only exposes a fraction of the operators the search engine actually understands — engagement
thresholds like min_faves:, content filters like filter:native_video, and
the Latest-tab parameter aren't in the UI at all. This builder covers all of them and shows you the
raw query as it grows, so you learn the operators while you use them.
Typical uses: finding your own best-performing posts (from:you min_faves:50), digging up
viral posts in your niche before writing your own take, finding unanswered questions to reply to
(? keywords with -filter:replies), or pulling every post you wrote in a
specific month for a content audit.
Tips for better search results
Combine an engagement floor with a date window to surface proven content — for example
"cold email" min_faves:200 since:2026-01-01 finds this year's viral cold-email posts.
Use the Latest tab (&f=live) when monitoring an ongoing event or brand mentions, and
Top when researching evergreen content. Dates are interpreted in UTC, and search only covers public
posts — protected accounts never appear.
